PM Modi’s Leadership Steering ISRO’s Ambitious Future Space Ventures

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has laid out an ambitious plan for space exploration under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The plan includes the launch of several crucial missions over the next few years, aiming to solidify India’s presence in space science and technology.

One of the most significant missions is the “Gaganyaan” mission, scheduled for December 2021. It is India’s first manned mission, aiming to send astronauts to space and return safely to Earth. It will contribute to the development of critical technologies needed for end-to-end human spaceflight.

The Chandrayaan-3 mission, set for 2022, is another significant undertaking by ISRO. It follows the Chandrayaan-2 mission, which aimed to land a rover on the Moon but lost contact just before touchdown in 2019. The Chandrayaan-3 mission will focus on a soft landing on the Moon to rectify the failures of its predecessor.

Additionally, ISRO also plans to launch the Aditya L-1 mission, which aims to study the Sun’s corona, the outermost part of the solar atmosphere. This mission will lead to a better understanding of the Sun’s influence on the Earth’s climate.

The Mars Orbiter Mission 2 (MOM 2) or Mangalyaan-2 is another mission set in ISRO’s agenda. This mission will focus on studying the Martian surface features, morphology, mineralogy, and the Martian atmosphere using indigenous scientific instruments.

Lastly, as part of its long-term goals, ISRO is planning to send a mission to Venus – Shukrayaan-1, to study its atmosphere and surface. The Venus mission would provide data about its meteorology and the interaction of solar radiation with its atmosphere.

ISRO is also planning to expand its satellite communication capabilities, with the planned launch of the GSAT-20 satellite. This will provide a massive boost to internet connectivity across India, particularly in remote and rural areas.

The series of ambitious missions by ISRO under PM Modi’s leadership demonstrates India’s commitment to pushing the frontiers of space technology and exploration. The missions are not only about exploring outer space but also about utilizing space technology for the benefits of India’s economy and society.

In conclusion, India is taking a bold step in space technology under the leadership of PM Modi with ISRO at the forefront. The planned missions will contribute significantly to our understanding of the universe and boost India’s presence in space science and technology.
