The Irish Examiner has highlighted five travel deals that tourists can avail themselves of this week. These range from a stargazing safari to a ‘Twixmas’ escape, offering something for all types of travellers.
First on the list is the unique opportunity to experience a stargazing safari in South Africa. The package, offered by the luxury travel company Black Tomato, is set in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve. The reserve is renowned for its excellent game viewing and is one of the best places in the world for stargazing due to the minimal light pollution. The deal includes a private astronomy masterclass, bush dinners under the stars, and a helicopter ride for a bird’s eye view of the landscape. The price starts at £6,000 per person for a week, including flights.
Secondly, the article suggests a trip to the Isle of Wight for those who are keen on a UK-based escape. A three-night stay at the Royal Hotel in Ventnor has been reduced from £840 to £630 for two people, including breakfast, dinner, and ferry travel.
The third deal highlighted is a Twixmas escape to the Langdale Hotel in the Lake District. Twixmas is the period between Christmas and New Year, and this deal offers a two-night stay for two people, including breakfast, for £198. The hotel is located in a picturesque valley, ideal for walking or simply relaxing.
The fourth deal is for a stay at the five-star Domes of Elounda, Autograph Collection in Crete. The deal includes a 40% discount on all bookings made before the end of February 2023 for stays between April and October 2023. This luxury resort offers spectacular views of the ocean and a private beach.
The final deal is for a tour of the Scottish Highlands with Rabbie’s small group tours. The five-day tour, reduced from £329 to £296 per person, includes visits to Loch Ness and the Isle of Skye.
The article ends by reminding travellers to check travel restrictions and guidelines due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic before booking any trips. These deals provide an array of travel experiences, whether travellers are interested in stargazing, exploring the Scottish Highlands, or soaking up the sun in Crete. They offer an opportunity to plan ahead for a memorable trip in 2023.
