China Achieves Another Milestone in Space Exploration with Successful Satellite Launch

Three space science and technology experiment satellites were successfully launched from a sea area off China’s southern Pacific coast. These satellites, being the 57th and 58th of the system, represent the first medium-Earth orbit (MEO) satellites launched since the formal commissioning of BDS-3. The newly added satellites possess upgraded functions and improved performance, including global short message communication capacity, onboard atomic clock technology, and intelligent payloads. These enhancements are expected to elevate the reliability and service capabilities of the BeiDou system, paving the way for the development of next-generation BDS satellites.
